The Rope Type RF Admittance Level Switch measures liquid levels by detecting changes in capacitance. It consists of a sensing rope that acts as a capacitor and a guard electrode. When the sensing rope is in air, capacitance remains stable, but when liquid contacts it, the dielectric properties of the liquid alter the capacitance.
A high-frequency sine wave is applied to both the sensing rope and the guard electrode, creating an electrostatic field.
